Morningstar Homes, a high volume builder of new single family homes in the greater metro Vancouver area, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Customer Service Representative. Reporting to the Senior Customer Service Manager this position entails responding to, and resolving issues sent to Morningstar as customer service requests, by either affecting repairs, or causing repairs to be affected. Service requests are logged and distributed to each Service representative by the manager pertinent to the area(s) being cover by each representative. Corrective work applies to those issues deemed warrantable as defined by the Warranty provider, and such work as may be directed by management from time to time.
This position requires a broad spectrum of general residential construction knowledge and handyman skills. The Customer Service Representative is expected to furnish the appropriate PPE and basic working tools to support carpentry, interior and exterior finishing, and basic drywall and caulking repairs. It requires the ability to work independently, good judgement, discretion with purchasers, and being a good team player. Basic computer, verbal, and e-communication skills are required, as is weekly updating of the customer service log, the conduct of pre-delivery inspections and orientations from time to time, and the keeping / submission of work log sheets and expenses.
