Community Support Worker (18-011, Part-time, 15 hours/week) (Oakridge Mall Area)

Highlights:

Here is an opportunity to support two friends in their home and community! N and C share a two bedroom townhouse with a live-in caregiver, close to Oakridge Mall. They are active in their community and are looking for support to facilitate their inclusion.

N and C have families living close by who are a big part of their lives and assist them to make choices about their lives and their support. They have a wonderful team of committed people and are looking for one more person to join the team!

Location: Vancouver (west side)

Reports to: Manager

Rate of Pay: $17.14/hour and increases as per pay scale

Probation: 3 Months

Driving Requirement: Driving not required

Preferred Training or Experience: Spanish speaking would be an asset, as C speaks Spanish. It is not required though.

Experience / training in assisting with personal care or a willingness to learn. All training is provided.

Specific Training or Experience Required:
Ability to motivate, encourage and engage the interests of others.

Expected Hours of Work:
Saturday 4pm-10 pm
Monday 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Start Date: March 12, 2018
