Child Care / Behaviour Interventionist

BEHAVIOUR INTERVENTIONISTS WANTED!

B.I. work with child with high-functioning autism (7 years old). You will barely notice he has any special needs until I told you he has one.. 🙂
You will be supporting the child at home and/or in the community. The focus of the program includes communication, social skills, independent self-help skills and academic skills.
You will receive extensive and ongoing training from an excellent BCBA for FREE !

We are looking for someone that is genuinely caring, friendly, passionate, patient, energetic and enthusiastic who do their very best to support each other and the families they serve everyday.

Not required, but preference will be given to someone who has experience with Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA Therapy), and has a reliable transportation.
Hours: 2-5 sessions per week depending on your availability(weekdays), at least 2.5-4 hours each day (pick up from school at 2:30PM required- your hours start at 2:30PM on weekdays) . Your choice of days are flexible according to your availability.
Weekends shifts can be offered too as on-call or casual basis if you are available.
Location: Clayton Heights, Surrey BC (Cloverdale Area)

Qualifications:
Energetic and enthusiastic; patient, encouraging and friendly (But firm and fair)
Background in related field is an asset (e.g. psychology, education, speech and language pathology, teacher, teacher’s assistant, etc)
Experience working with children and/or children with autism
Minimum 19 years of age
Criminal record check

Hourly rate: $13-25, dependent on experience
