Accounting Clerk 1

The Okanagan Regional Library, Head Office, has an immediate opening for a permanent full-time Accounting Clerk 1.

This position performs accounts payable, cash entry and deposit preparation and other accounting and clerical tasks under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer.  The position requires focus and attention to detail, data entry, word processing/typing and will need to develop a thorough understanding of Library administration.

Grade 12 or equivalent is required, although completion of post- in a related field is preferred.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting/accounts payable.

This is a CUPE union position with compensation and benefits in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
