We are looking for an energetic, positive, reliable person to apply to work as an ABA Support Worker at school with our son who will be going into kindergarten. The school is easily accessible from Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Surrey, Langley, etc.

This position starts in September 2018, with training starting in July. Hours for training would depend on your experience and availability.

The ABA Support Worker position is unique to Surrey and requires 1,000 hours of experience as an ABA BI. Applicants for this position will need to have at least 900 hours of experience in order to be able to qualify by September 2018.

This position is with the Surrey School District and ultimately hiring is at the sole discretion of the school district. The position is a union position at about $27/hr and a benefit package. Hours during the school year would likely be 8:30 to 3:00.

Our son is a sweet boy but needs a lot of attention as he does not communicate and has some coordination issues. He does not have any negative behaviour.

You should have lots of energy and patience, be a team player and display a positive attitude. You should be a good multi-tasker and be able to take constructive feedback and implement it immediately.

This job would be ideal experience for individuals interested in working as education support in a school setting, or as additional experience for people pursuing careers in Psychology, Education, or ABA therapy.

We have a great, established ABA team. All initial training will be provided by our ABA consultant or lead BI.

Salary for training hours with our daughter’s home therapy team is negotiable and is based on experience but ranges from $13/hr for a training wage up to $22/hr for significant experience.
